We added an organic wing to the already existing, Seventies-style modern movie theatre. A local touch typical of Kalocsa was the use of plaster in-between the brick on the front of the building by the architect. This sparked the idea, also influenced by aiming to be cost-effective was to leave the exposed brick-walls in the interior as a way to connect the old and new sections of the cinema. The height of the visible brick varies from floor-to-ceiling to only ankle-high exposure. The rugged brick surface along with the smooth plaster and painted Kalocsa-style ornaments define the design.
