The armchair is a modern recreation of the Hungarian country-baroque style’s patterns. The Hungarian country baroque style simplifies baroque while recreating it according to its on idealized image of beauty. This style survived in the culture of the country-side, while creating interesting and unique objects. All three chair-style families, the “Flor”, the “Antora” and this folklore armchair are based on the design of the 18th century “dulo” chair of Hodmezovasarhely.
